KwentoToday is an independent online newspaper for Filipino readers. It covers local news, events, showbiz, sports, lifestyle, business, technology, and viral stories — written mainly in Filipino, with a daily digital edition.

Challenge
A daily news site has to publish a lot of content across many categories and still feel like a trusted newspaper. Readers need to find the top story, breaking news, and everyday services like lotto results and market updates quickly, on any device.

Solution
Built on WordPress with a custom kwentotoday theme, the site uses a classic newspaper layout: a masthead, category navigation with sub-menus, and a breaking-news ticker above a lead story and a curated sidebar. A utility bar shows the date, Metro Manila weather, and USD/PHP and PSEi market data, while dedicated sections cover PCSO lotto results, life stories, and hugot.
