Overview
AI Search Readiness is an auditing tool that crawls a website and scores how ready it is to be found, trusted, and cited by AI search systems — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and AI Overviews — covering both Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
Challenge
Traditional SEO tools check for search-engine ranking factors, but they don’t answer a newer question: can an AI crawler even reach this site, and does it carry the structured signals an AI system needs to cite it with confidence? Site owners had no single place to check crawler access, schema coverage, and AI-specific discovery files together.
Solution
Built on Laravel with a Tailwind CSS and Vite front end, the tool hands each URL to a Python crawling and analysis engine that checks robots.txt and CDN rules against known AI bot user-agents (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot), audits structured data such as Organization and FAQPage JSON-LD, and looks for AI discovery files like /llms.txt and /.well-known/ai.txt. Findings are scored across four categories — Discovery, Trust Signals, Content, and Structured Data — ranked by severity, and compiled into a branded PDF report with concrete recommendations for each issue.
