Overview

MMT is a trading education membership where members learn the concepts, build a trading plan and practise with a community through lessons and live market sessions. Members pay through a recurring subscription that they can pause and resume.

Challenge

Two problems broke the link between what members paid for and what they got. When a member paused their subscription and later resumed it, the subscription was calculated incorrectly, so the next billing date and amount no longer matched the time they had paid for. And members whose subscription had already expired were still in the private Discord community, getting paid content for free.

Solution

The pause and resume flow was traced through the subscription logic to find where the calculation went wrong, and fixed so the paused time is accounted for when a member resumes — the remaining paid time, the next billing date and the amount charged now line up. The Discord access check was fixed so that when a subscription expires, the member is removed from the Discord community, keeping access in step with active subscriptions.
